As we all know about Rama and Ravana,The Great from the Hindu Mythology,While Rama was known for his Pureness,Truthfulness and His Love for his People whereas Ravana was great Scholar,A Courageous Warrior,A Fearless King..Here I am not Drawing any line between Rama and Ravana..But for a Better India don’t you think being like Ravana will be useful..I think so.. 🙂

Let me start like this, This is not right. Shri Ram and Ravan never can be compared. And who the hell are we comparing to Shri Ram in our country at this time. That’s a joke. Highest levels of corruptions and blatant disregard for our ancestral moral values (which incidentally again were left to us by none other Shri Ram and not Ravan). Your argument that we have tried the rule of Shri Ram and it doesn’t work so lets try Ravan’s rule, is absurd and down right crazy. I am not blaming only the government but also the people. To be frank, it is the people who should be responsible, who can’t stand up for themselves[by following what is right, and being brave enough to face wrong and stand up against it] and ask to be controlled and run by others. Again if you look at it, we are already in Ravan’s rule. Shri Ram has left us and our hearts long back.
No one is Comparing Rama and Ravana and there is no Rama here in our country…and just for information do you know how Ravana was created–He was a gatekeeper of Vishnu and because of some Rishimuni curse he was sent to Earth as Ravana and knowing that he was going to be killed by Vishnu Avatar he was so very happy and another fact is When Rama was preparing for battle against Ravana,it was Ravana who helped Rama to complete his Yagya for divine power from Durga…Even when Ravana was killed Rama and Laxmana touched his feet..He is portrayed as the evil but if you go and read our mythology u will come to know about various fact..And let me tell I wrote this post after reading lot about Rama and Ravana… 🙂
Now to main point..Surely the Citizen of India You,me and Others are responsible for the sorry state of our Country..We just can’t stand up for our Right..In this post I clearly mentioned I want to be Courageous,Brave and Fearless like Ravana and I guess I am not wrong in that–It is my perspective and I am not forcing anyone to take this,I just want that qualities for me and rest depends on other if they want such qualities or not.. 🙂
So I guess I am right in that.. 🙂
Bro. Totally agree with you on the fact that Ravan was a great ruler and also very powerful king. You want to be as powerful and daring as him. ok. My plight is you are ready to take ravan for a role model but not Shri Ram, (who is also known as Maryada Purushottam Ram because he is the epitome of righteousness. Lord Rama is considered as the perfect man, due to the fact that he makes a perfect son, a perfect husband, a perfect king and a perfect brother.) as your role model. Shri Ram was no less powerful(he was god right) but i remember reading it somewhere , he states, “I shouldn’t use my powers in this form(Shri Ram) of mine”. Again when you say he touched ravan’s feet, it only glorifies Shri Ram’s humility towards another human being. Since he also satated this Laxman when he refused to touch ravan’s feet, “In death, there is no enemy”.[mind my english translations but i think you got the point i was trying to put forward]. If you really want power and fearlessness , bro Hanuman ji se badhkar kaun hai? But ravan , c’mon.
What is wrong following Ravana?I want to be like him not as a devil but as fearless,courageous and knowledgeable like him…And how can you say Rama was a perfect Husband after he ordered Sita for Agnipariksha,I guess a perfect husband don’t behave that way..Though I agree he was a perfect son and king..But again so did Ravana was a perfect King and as I said in my earlier comment even he helped Rama to prepare for battle against him even after knowing that he will be killed–Now tell me who is going to do that?I choose to be Ravana at least in this era and do my bit for the good of this country—You are free to choose your own path but the goal should be common–Betterment of India

Mostly when people think of Ravana, they are reminded of abduction of Sita and going against the God Rama… The renowned Bengali writer Michael Madhusudhan Dutta in his “Ramer Sumati” has described Ravana as a great administrator and self dependent… One he never relied on heavenly powers for his victory unlike Ram…
Indeed true and that’s what I exactly want to pick from him..The Courage,The Fear for Nothing atleast will help us to raise our voice against the wrong and stand for right..

In fact Rama also praised Ravana after defeating him and while he was dying on the battlefield, Rama asked Laxmana to go and seek blessings from him !!
Yes..And what most of us don’t know was that When Rama was preparing for battle..He organized a Pooja for Devi Durga to seek blessing..But Durga said that He will only be blessed when the Puja is performed by someone who devote to God 3 times a day without any miss and that person was only Ravana…In fact Ravana on order of Shiva disguise himself as a sadhu and went to do the puja for Rama even after knowing that the Puja is being done to defeat him…
That shows how Courageous and selfishness he was..

So how are we going to change the country for better by being Ravan? As far as I know, Ravan is quite a controversial character. Also, he belonged to Satyug. In this yug, if Ravan is born, I am sure he might be worse than Hitler. But this is my opinion.
I don’t know how I will do this..But I am sure to do “Jahan Chah hai wahan Raah hai ” .. 🙂
We know I want to be Ravan in terms of his Courage and his Fearless Character,all that will give me enough strength to stand up against Wrong… 🙂

Ravana was not evil for if he would have been evil he would have had his way Sita, but no like a gentleman he waited for a yes from Sita. Yes, he did kidnap her and that too under false pretense but then aren’t men known to given to lust and anger rather than love and peace.
Even while dying Ravaan asked for moksha, for he realised that Ram was another avatar of his beloved Lord Shiva. I am not trying to change the epic but just stating some facts. Both Ram and Ravan were men and surrendered to the pressures of society and family. Else why would Ram ask SIta for Agni-pariksha for her purity, and Ravan would not have kidnapped Sita if his sister hadn’t fallen for Laxman.

Harsha, your slogan is great! Ravan was a great king for his people and a very learned man. But for his weakness and wickedness he would have been a great person too.
