Origin of the Word “MAA”–Let me Think!!!

Well,Any Guesses What the Post will be about after reading the title?

Well If not let me Start–For the last 3-4 days I have thinking about something unusual,I don’t know how it came to my mind..But I am still thinking.I did lot of research but was never able to find the answer, even Google this time fail to provide me an answer that I am satisfied with…

So Thinking What I am Thinking?Well–Let me put it this way “Does Anyone Know from Where the Word ‘Maa‘ originated?”
Now Maa translate Mother or Mama, but has ever anyone thought where these word came from,I really have no idea..

For me “Mother or Maa or Mama” is the most powerful word, the First word a baby generally speak, but there is no theories whatsoever on the origination of the Word…

So I take it this way..”Long back when Human was in the process of evolution,A Woman was holding her baby and the baby chuckled “mammaama”,”maa” and the likes, since these were the first word that came out of the baby mouth made the woman very happy,Now as in early times Humans didn’t use their brains that much and maybe the didn’t have any particular name to address each other,So I guess the Woman thought of taking the chuckling of her Baby as a way to address her…May be she took that as her name, and said to others that her baby has given her that name…Now as the Evolution Process took pace more and more words evolved as Humans started using their brains and that way other words got added..But the word “Maa” came to address a Mother,Now the word Mother is also the formation of the Process of Evolution.. 😀

Another Possible Origination–As we all know–“The goat makes a bleat sound, which sounds like a ‘Maa-Maa‘.So I think in early days,May be a Goat came near to a Woman and started calling “Maa-Maa” and the Woman was so touched by the voice of the Goat that she thought of taming her.Now once she started taming her,The bonding between them became very strong and the Goat was like a child to her calling her “Maa-Maa“.So the bonding between a Child and Mother was well reflected,The word “Maa” is what we used to address our Mother

And How could I end my Post without my new Handsome Stick Figures.. :-P,So here they are.. 🙂

Important Things Indian Must Know..

In this post I will try to put lights on some Rules and Laws that every Indian must be aware of..In India basically there are rules for everything, but hardly they are followed,I mean in India it is quite common to break Laws and Rules and so the saying fits correctly “Rules are made to be Broken”,But can’t we Indians be little responsible and follow the rules and Laws that we know,if we follow the Rules and Laws, many things will be under control and India will be a better place.. 😀

The Rules and Laws in this post is not new and I guess most of us know about them, but we hardly use them when needed,So I urge all the Indians to know the Rules and Law and use them whenever necessary arrives but don’t use them for your own benefit…

  1. There is a rule of not riding on the footpaths but Many does that,Footpaths is meant for pedestrians and not for Bikers,So Please avoid it to get in any sort of trouble.
  2. Wearing Helmets–Many Love riding a Bike without wearing Helmet but they never understand that wearing Helmet is for their own safety and not for others,So Be Safe and Wear Helmets.
  3. Wait for the Green Signal, many a times I have seen Cars and Bikes zoomed off even before the green signal is ON,waiting for 10-15 seconds is not a loss at all and To Pedestrians, never cross the road when the Traffic is in flow and always use Zebra Crossing..
  4. Women cannot be detained or arrest by Police at Night,When a Woman is arrested it must be done by a Woman Police and a Woman can’t be called in a Police Station that has no Woman Police Officer.
  5. The legal age of Marriage in India is 18 years for Girls and 21 years for Boys.According to The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 no Girl and Boy can be forced to marry before the legal age of Marriage.According to UNICEF 47% of Child Marriages occur in India. And Without the consent of the Girl or the Boy they can’t be forced to marry even after their legal age.
  6. Use Consumer Forum for all kinds of concerns involving multinational companies, malls, banks, utility services and so on and Consumer Forum will ensure that to you get your right with dignity and respect. And Consumer Forum is really helpful(Personal Experience).
  7. Banking Ombudsman–A Senior Official appointed by the RBI of India to address grievances and complaints from customers, regarding deficiencies in banking services. It covers all kinds of banks – PSU Banks, Private banks, Rural banks and co-operative banks.
  8. If you are going to file a FIR(First Investigation Report) and the Police refuse to register it,you can make a complaint to a higher ranking officer such as the Superintendent of Police (SP), the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) or the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and can even complain to Judicial Magistrate,Policeman refusing to register FIR will face upto 1 year of jail..
  9. You can file online complaint on various issues in National Human Rights Commission–http://nhrc.nic.in/
  10. While purchasing any kinds of Good always take a Bill,it is your right to ask for the Bill as without the Bill it is only us who is in the losing side
  11. Register the Names of Domestic Helps with the Police.
  12. And Last but not least Be Indian first, leave your Religion,Community behind and stand together as Indians..

The List does not end here I will add up more as I recollect them…For the time being keep these above said Rules or Laws or whatever you call them in your mind.. 🙂

Husband,Wife and Gold Price

In a recent news about Gold price it has been said that Gold has touches an all time low price of around Rs.26000 per 10 gm whereas Money has also declined to Rs.60 per 1 US$.

On this news I created this Cartoon which depicts the reaction of a Husband and a Wife on getting the News of Gold Price touching all time Low.

As Gold is considered very precious in India especially with women,we even think of Gold as Lakshmi(Goddess of Wealth),so it will not be surprise for a Woman to ask her Husband to get some golds after all it has touches the all time low value but a Husband concern would be the value of money which is also falling at a rapid rate.
