My 200th Post with a Message for a healthy life.. 😉
It’s 26th January 2016 and India has celebrated its 67th Republic Day…My wishes to India and all fellow Indians…. 🙂
26th January-A special day for India and Indians,as it is the day on which Indian Constitution came into effect during the year 1950 and since then India is considered a Republic and celebrating 26th January as Republic Day all over India. The Constitution of India is the way through which the Government System works,it is the law above all.
The Constitution defines itself and the Government as “for the people,by the people and of the people”,but wait let me ask a question does this happens for real,is Government really for the people,by the people and of the people? It is definitely “by the people and of the people” but not “for the people”..Before the elections they are only & only for the people..But after that we people are mere jokes for them.
Republic-In general it is a Political System where the supreme power lies in the hand of the citizens who can elect people to represent them..For that to happen we Indians are provided with “Right to Vote” a constitutional right but do we exercise our right properly or do it for the sake of doing.
So,this republic day sit back and think, think for yourself, think for the Nation and make the wise decision, because Nations future lies in our hand and we should never be casual in performing our duties towards our Nations

A mesmerizing name at least to the people of Assam, but to the generation when people like me were kids. A book to begin our educational journey with our tender minds, thoughts and touch, a book that taught us the basic of what Assamese language is all about in a tender way, its culture, and its values. Ask any Assamese born before early 90’s and see the charm in their face recollecting those old memories of reading KuhiPath sitting before candle or earthen lamp. It was just the time I look back now and cherish and maybe many Assamese does too.
KuhiPath-‘Kuhi’ meaning ‘Tender’ and ‘Path’ meaning ‘Lesson’ and now exactly I know why it was called so, as it was solely aimed at tender minds so does the name ,teaching tender lessons at a tender age in a tender way…How nice was those days, just feel nostalgic thinking about those times. I still remember memorizing the Assamese alphabets from KuhiPath book within a day, thanks to my mom and her stick hitting me from left to right…But since that day KuhiPath was a friend to me and obviously with the help of my mother it was always a fun to read.
During those days walking through the lanes of the streets or villages in Assam, hearing voices of kids reading through KuhiPath was a common tune filling the air. There was no concept of school bags, kids were seen running bare foot to and from school with just 2-3 books and KuhiPath being the common out of the lot…Alas those airs are a mere history now, somewhere lost in the process of modernization and development.
Life is a continuous evolving process and KuhiPath is one of its example…Now, kids don’t have books with tender thoughts and subjects rather they are filled with more hi-fi things that sometimes I wonder the pressure the kids are taking in. But that’s not the point I want to make here-that is totally a different subject, what I’m trying to point out here is sometimes we need to stop, relax and look back in our past, our old memories, our childhood and try to feel the peace and to bring a smile on our face (Smiling is such a hard job these days, bet me).
What KuhiPath taught me was to have fun while reading and I guess all those who have had gone through this book in their childhood will feel the same too. This book surely holds a special place in my heart…I never realized that someday I would miss this book 😦 and now I don’t even have a copy of it and it is nowhere to be found, though my search is still on.. 🙂 and maybe someday I will get a hold of it again….Who Knows…Till then….It ‘KuhiPath’ remains a like ‘Kuhi’ thing in my heart… 🙂
The above art was done by me using Fresh Paint provided by Microsoft, trying to draw like the original Book cover of KuhiPath… 😉
As we all know One Horned Rhino is found only in Assam,India. It is kind of Pride not only to Assam but to whole of India, but as you all know the kind of sorry state they are going through…on the verge of extinction because of only few who just in the name of few bucks don’t care to kill them.
Just 10-12 days has passed in 2015 and 3 rhinos has been killed, what a shameful act.And we as citizen of Assam and India just don’t care enough..
Don’t talk about our leaders,The Assam Government just don’t care and never will…Even the Central Govt. have put a blind eye towards it.
No one seems to care and in no time they will be History… 😦
If by any chance our Prime Minister happens to go through this,I would just like to request him to take necessary and stern steps to Save Our Pride-The One Horned Rhino.
As the Life I live goes on,Sometimes I feel what am I doing, where am I going?
Not finding peace in what I do is bugging me right now….Now this is a typical case I guess most of us have felt at some point of one’s life
The thing is when there are liabilities on our head,we’re supposed to live a life that others want us to,no matter how hard we try to be free,to break the shackles it gets stronger and tighter every time.
So,now the Million Dollar question pops up –Is a life like this worth living?Many-a-times I tried to figure out the answer, but just end up confusing myself… 😛
Without being practical–if we try to answer the question, simply we will say such a life is not worthy at all…probably true to some extent but life doesn’t runs on ‘Probabilities’
The fact is we came to this world alone and will die alone but in between birth and death there lies a line–And we call that line as ‘LIFE‘.From the time we are born till our last breath our life get attached with many liabilities,no matter how small they are,no matter if we understand them, they are and will always be there till our last journey.. 🙂
So the best possible way for me is to try and make a balance between our liabilities and our peace of mind…I know,I know ots easier said than done but at least we can give it a try..I am trying…. 🙂
Since liabilities are our life-long partner we just can’t turn a blind eye towards them,Can we?And at the same can’t have a life without peace…that’s human nature…
To sum up all…Life with Liabilities is ‘Complicated’,really ‘Complicated’,but above all Life is Beautiful, very Beautiful just need to have the eyes to adore its beauty… 🙂
