Put A Halt on Women Voilence

WHO - Violence against woman“The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it.”-Roseanne Barr,a well known American Actress,Writer television producer, director and 2012 presidential nominee of the California-based Peace and Freedom Party.

And it is very truly said,Being a responsible citizen I really want Indian Women and the Women around the world to stand up and fight for injustice, crime, atrocities happening with them because no one would ever know the pain of a Woman until you are a Woman. So,stand up for yourself and make this world follow the suite, show them the true potential you hold to change the world and make it a better place to live in and once you stand up for yourself you will find millions standing with you, supporting you and joining hands with you to fight the evil out of this world.

Some statistics

Women Crime 2011(NCRB Data)

Women Crime 2011(NCRB Data)

Here is the NCRB-Crime Against Women data.

The amount of Crime against Women in India is on the rise with each passing day.Crimes like Rapes,Female Foeticide,Dowry,Child Marriages,Honor Killing,Domestic Violence all has piled up in recent times and now the time has come to put a halt on it.People who commit such crimes feel that the women are weak and thus can easily be suppressed.

But the main concern still remains that is ‘How can we put a halt to such crimes?’.To me until and unless we change our perception towards Women and Girls such thing will always be there and the best means to change one’s perception is education, illiteracy is main root to all evil, once we are educated well enough our concise will always make us a better one for the society.Apart from that promoting specific morals or values may be controversial,as such efforts are often associated with repressive and narrowly defined visions of the common good. Moral capabilities are essential, but the means to develop them must be consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, aimed at fostering the spiritual, social and intellectual development of all people.

Such capabilities can be taught in schools but will not be effective unless they take root in family and community.Neighbours, educators, health workers, employers, politicians, religious leaders, police, media professionals–all share responsibility for the protection of women.Promoting the eradication of elements in traditional norms and religious beliefs, practices and stereotypes which legitimise and exacerbate the persistence and tolerance of violence against women and children.Introducing and supporting gender sensitisation and public awareness programmes aimed at eradicating violence against women and children.Encouraging the media to play a constructive role in the eradication of violence against women and children by adopting guidelines which ensure sensitive coverage of the issue and avoid the perpetuation of stereotypes.

To make this all happen and to stop the crime against women we must rise up and stand together and pledge to make this world a better place to live in for Women.

This Post is written for Indichnage Campaing-Write the Change Ring The Bell for my support in the power collective actions of responsible citizen of the society to bring a change,a change  that we all want.

Ending on a Positive Note I promise to ring the bell by:-by educating the society and spreading awareness among my fellow citizens about the atrocities on Women and how to fight and overcome them.

Real Beggars of India

indian policeAny Guess on my post topic?

The other day I was at a Roadside vendor to have some food and what I saw was the Real Beggar of India, even earlier I have seen such beggars but it was that day the idea to call them “The Real Indian Beggar” crossed my mind and I thought to pen it down.

Remember never mistaken them to mix with other normal beggars, they have their own dignity, own self-respect and most importantly they don’t come to us for begging instead we approach them to offer and moreover they are spread all over India, all this character make them to top the beggar list in India.

Ok enough of introduction,so now let’s break up the suspense. The famous beggar I am talking about is none other than ‘The Men in Khaki’ as we all know them the ‘Indian Police’ including the ‘Indian Traffic Police’.

We have many a time heard about Police involved in different notorious activities and we Indians are used to that also the begging part is not new to them but the creative way they come up with in begging is always new,I think they are always looking for new ideas to beg,let me explain, what I saw the other day standing near that vendor,a Police Patrol Van generally known as ‘Hoysala’ in Bangalore came and stood right in-front of the vendor, the owner approach and handed over some money to them. When he returned I asked him how much he paid and he said only Rs.10.At that moment I thought how cheap of these Police and out of curiosity I asked the owner why he paid them, then he said if they pay these guys they will provide security I mean what the hell, providing security is Police Duty and government pay them for that but then also they do such kind of cheap act but according to the Vendor owner point of view its a profitable deal for them at least at Rs.10 they are getting security but to what extent only God knows 😕 .Even when taking money they would act in such a way that they are performing their duty and only close watch would be able to track them.Damn,Indian Police aka Good Government Actor. 😛

Even such kinds of act is also visible in Traffic Police Dept. When I was in Guwahati,Assam I used to see Traffic Police taking money from Truck and other Public vehicles without any reason. They used to put up their stick to the Drivers window, the driver will roll the rupee note and put it in a hole at the bottom of the stick and this hole is created by the Traffic Personnel intentionally for this purpose, look at their innovation and creative mind.

Really Impressive and Creative Indian Police I must say 😮 .

So,that’s all for now and what do you guys think on Indian Police,do they qualify to be in top of Indian Beggar List?To me they will always top the list 😉
