A Reason to Pray-Gratitude to God

At times I sit around thinking why we pray to God..and no answers come to my mind except my hands folding with a bowing head before him,The Almighty and my heart whisper “A Reason to Pray”.. 😀

We all have one reason or the other for anything we do in life and one such thing is Praying-there is always a reason for praying too,but that reason is never static and every other day we bow before God we have a different reason to pray,Humans we are–as the matter of fact we never are content with what we have but that is how we are…and that is the reason we pray, maybe human way to show Gratitude to God.

Well a Human Being I am.. ;),Even I do have reasons to pray,to bow myself before the almighty…Indeed a lot of for I am young with lots of dreams in my eyes to fulfill in coming years…And for that I obviously need the Blessings of God.. 😀
From my early days I have seen my Parents praying every morning so even I made a habit to Pray the God,no matter what festival it is I made it sure to visit a temple with my Parents and seek blessings.. 😀

But things have changed now–I stay away from my Parents so I don’t have the opportunity to visit temples with them or to pray with them but what hasn’t changed is that I never go out with offering prayer to the God and never miss to visit a Temple during any festival..

Pure Prayer

Pure Prayer

God has given us so many things and we couldn’t ask for more but everytime I bow before him,I always have something to ask him..But that something is always to ask him to “Give me the strength to Perform my duties, infact this is the only thing I have asked him and will always until I stop breathing, because I believe “God Help those who Help Themselves“.In my prayer I ask him “To give me the strength to rise against any odd, give me the strength to make my Parents happy, give me the strength to fulfill my Parents and my Sweetheart wishes and always ask him to make me suitable for the society“.

Everyone Has A Reson To Pray

Everyone Has A Reason To Pray

Well Well I am not done yet…As one more reason to Celebrate and Pray is on the way–Guess What Diwali–The Festival of Lights is round the corner also celebrated as Lakshmi Puja–The Goddess of Wealth.Well even last year also we(Me and My Roommates) celebrated Diwali with lots of enthusiasm but being Bachelors and staying away from Home we were not able to celebrate it the Traditional Way like we used to do with our Parents..

So this time also the Planning is still going on and Guess what I came across something wonderful this time and it is “Sampoorna Lakshmi Pooja Pack“,a complete pack for people like us who want to celebrate the Puja in traditional way but don’t have enough knowledge. This pack has all the necessary items and also comes with a booklet and a CD,which has the necessary procedures and shlokas to be recited during performing the Puja. So,Isn’t it great,I am happy to find such a product as because I will be satisfied performing The Puja in a Homely way staying away from Home and will be reliving my memories and creating unforgettable ones.. and I hope Lakshmi Goddess gets happy with me and make my Purse fat in coming Days.. 😉

So Wishing Everyone “A Very Happy And Lightful Diwali”.. 😀

Shiv Temple-An Amazing Display of Architecture in Bangalore

So,This year Durga Puja came to an end on 14th October as Bijoya Dashami being the last day when The Durga Maa is immersed in water,As being in Bangalore I didn’t have the opportunity to see much of Durga Puja which I did back in my Home…So this time Me and few of My Friends decided to go somewhere else–though related to God,So after a bit of discussion we ended up deciding to Visit a Shiv Temple, which is what they say a Great Display of Architecture.. 😀

Well to start of this Shiv Temple is sure visit if you are in Bangalore. It is at Murugeshpalya, just next to Total Mall–A 10 minutes walk from “The Leela Palace” hotel.
And Going through The Photographs of this temple will surely make you to visit this Temple.. 😀

The Temple is in the Vicinity of the City,so it is very easy to get to this temple and can be easily reached using private or public transport…. 😀

Om Namah Shivaya

Om Namah Shivaya

The Temple is very beautifully built,Upon Entering we will see the Ganesha Deity–The Son of Lord Shiva(And One of my Favorite Deity),Generally known as Vighna Vinasha and The reason we see Lord Ganesha at the start of many temple is because According to Hindu Mythology Lord Shiva once gave him Vardan(Blessing) saying that no prayers would not be considered complete if Lord Ganesha is not worshiped at the beginning.

We offered prayer and moved on to The Lord Shiva Deity..The way to the deity is built like a cave with inscriptions on the wall of different famous Shiv Temples found in India,But we have to pay 30INR to get to the Deity, infact entering the temple main gate will cost you 2INR and Camera charge is 25INR,I guess even God’s are not away from Commercialization.. 😉

Now Finally we reach the Main Shiva Statue,But once again you have to pay 20INR for a closer look at the statue and get the blessing, funny how everything is commercialized..But we will love to see the 65ft tall Shiva statue sitting in Yogic position and believe me it will give you a feeling of being in Kailash(Home of Lord Shiva, according to myth)

All in All it was pretty relaxing experience visiting this temple and though I am not so religious,I love visiting Place of Worship. So,If you are in Bangalore or have visited Bangalore, this place is a must visit though avoid going on Mondays if you want some peace as there will be huge rush during Mondays,We went during evening and got to attend the evening Aarti,so if you can attend that. There is also provision for special entry which is 50INR if you hate standing in Queues.

So Guys,What do you think about this Temple and The Architecture–I guess it is Amazing and a Must visit place.. 😀

Durga Puja–A festival that embarks worship of Goddess Durga and is celebrated for 6 six days.Durga Puja festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura. Thus, Durga Puja festival epitomises the victory of Good over Evil.

This festival is widely celebrated across the eastern part of India namely West Bengal,Assam,Orissa,Bihar and Tripura.
So,I wish all the people a Very Happy Durga Puja and I wish may Goddess Durga once again defeats the Evil.
