Morning Freshness at a Nursery in Gangtok,Sikkim
A kind of garden flower generally found in Assam,I took this picture during my visit to Bordowa-The Birthplace of Mahapurash Srimanta ShankarDeva
The Assamese New Year is on,Known as Bohag-The First month of Assamese Calender celebrated as Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu all around Assam and by all Assamese all around the world.
A very special flower known as Kopou(Orchid in english) is very traditional in Assamese Culture and especially in month of Bohag…The reason being-its use by the Assamese women,putting it on their hairs while performing Bihu Dance-The Traditional Dance of Assam.
Flowers are always a beauty to watch,no matter what flower it is,they always bring a smile on our face and in most of the case I don’t know the names of the flowers I see but that doesn’t make them seem less beautiful to my eyes.. 🙂
During my recent visit to Kanyakumari I came across lot of flowers and as always I didn’t knew the names of most of them..But still they were very beautiful,so I thought How about putting some nice quotes on them and I did exactly the same and here I am sharing some of the Flowers I captured.. 🙂
*Please Click on the images for better view.. 🙂
Ever Imagined how a Flower would look in Black and White..I mean with B&W background,the world around them in just Black and White and they bloom with their colors on..
Have a Look.. 🙂
Flower 1 and Flower 2 indicates that this time also I don’t know their name….Actually I am not so good at knowing flowers name except few common ones.. 😛
Anyways how do they seem to you?
The following lines were written by a well-known Assamese Music Director “Manas Robin“. I in no way the owner of these beautiful lines and I just compiled the lines into English.
All Thanks to Manas Robin for writing such wonderful lines in Assamese…When I listened to them for the first time I was so impressed that I decide to write them in English..
P.S.–This is not any kind of Poetry or whatever as I know poetry is not my kind of Tea,Coffee,Biscuit etc,So I never tried my hands on them and These Lines should be considered as Gratitude to Manas Robin…All Credits to him.. 🙂
So,Here it Goes.. :-)..I don’t know How Good or Bad it sounds in English but the Assamese Lines are really amazing
“I don’t know
how many Peoples’ dream
sees the reality;
But knows only one thing,
All People have Dreams;
Sometimes I feel Dream is like a Tree
Dreams Sprout,Dreams grow Roots
Dreams Become Big day by day
Dreams change Leaves,change Textures;
One Day even Dreams Become Old,
Sometimes Dreams Break Too
And Broken Dreams hurt us
Hurt our Heart pretty bad;
But all that does stop our Life?
Never Never I guess”
To Go with it..Here is Photo of a Flower I took when I visited Lalbagh,Bangalore.
If by any Chance you know the name of the Flower Please mention it in the comment.. 🙂
