A very special flower known as Kopou(Orchid in english) is very traditional in Assamese Culture and especially in month of Bohag…The reason being-its use by the Assamese women,putting it on their hairs while performing Bihu Dance-The Traditional Dance of Assam.

During my recent visit to Kanyakumari I came across lot of flowers and as always I didn’t knew the names of most of them..But still they were very beautiful,so I thought How about putting some nice quotes on them and I did exactly the same and here I am sharing some of the Flowers I captured.. ๐

The following lines were written by a well-known Assamese Music Director “Manas Robin“. I in no way the owner of these beautiful lines and I just compiled the lines into English.

P.S.–This is not any kind of Poetry or whatever as I know poetry is not my kind of Tea,Coffee,Biscuit etc,So I never tried my hands on them and These Lines should be considered asย Gratitude to Manas Robin…All Credits to him.. ๐
So,Here it Goes.. :-)..I don’t know How Good or Bad it sounds in English but the Assamese Lines are really amazing
“I don’t know
how many Peoples’ dream
sees the reality;
But knows only one thing,
All People have Dreams;
Sometimes I feel Dream is like a Tree
Dreams Sprout,Dreams grow Roots
Dreams Become Big day by day
Dreams change Leaves,change Textures;
One Day even Dreams Become Old,
Sometimes Dreams Break Too
And Broken Dreams hurt us
Hurt our Heart pretty bad;
But all that does stop our Life?
Never Never I guess”
To Go with it..Here is Photo of a Flower I took when I visited Lalbagh,Bangalore.
If by any Chance you know the name of the Flower Please mention it in the comment.. ๐
