If we go by the Books it is The line that separates the Earth from the Sky,But has anyone ever seen that line….It is always like as much as close we get to them they seem to be as much as far from us,but then that is the way it is defined.. 😀

And when I was in Kanyakumari I didn’t miss the chance to go to Kovalam and enjoy the Backwaters and there I spotted some Aquatic Birds and here they are.. 🙂

Even the name of this bird is not known by me..But this Bird was not influenced by the world around and was doing its work attentively,So I called it as  ‘The Attentive Watcher’ looking for fish.. 😉

So the First one is Inside Cows Rest House,we call them as Cow-Shed….Very Gentle Animals they are.. 🙂

The Next One is of Inside Indian Railways..Generally all trains of Indian Railways are fully packed almost all the time,this picture is of Guwahati-Bangalore Express starting from Bangalore and It takes almost 56 hours to reach Guwahati…Gosh I traveled so much in this particular Train.. 🙂

This image was taken at Padmanabhapuram Palace which is some 30kms away from Kanyakumari,This Palace is full of Antiques and the Image is of King’s Bed dated back to 16th century and still it maintained so beautifully..

And this image used to be Queen’s and Other Ladies dressing Hall..The Mirror is made up of Belgium Glass and the Swing is where the Queen used to sit for styling I guess 😉

The Famous Place in Kanyakumari–In Images

The famous Place in Kanyakumari as we all know is the Vivekananda Rock Memorial where Swami Vivekananda  during the month of December 1892 went to this Rock for deep meditation and enlightenment.He swam to this rock and meditated about the past, present and future of India. It is said that he attained enlightenment on the rock, and henceforth became a reformer and philosopher.

So this place is considered very Sacred and is a major tourist attraction and tourist in huge number visit this place everyday…and why not this place is really worth a visit..So here it is–

Another famous place that lies just few meters away from the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is The Thiruvalluvar Statue which is 133 ft tall stone sculpture  of the Tamil Poet and Saint Thiruvalluvar,a magnificent statue above the sea is a delight to watch..

Both these attractions look great and is a delight to eyes and looks great at night with lights all over the place..To reach this Place Tamil Nadu Govt. runs regular ferry service and the ticket cost is around 34 INR to and fro and the timings is from morning 9 o’clock to 5 o’clock in the Evening..

India’s First Wax Museum in Kanyakumari

Do you all know Where the First Wax Museum was established?

I had no idea about this until I visited Kanyakumari and got to know that India’s the First Wax Museum was established in Kanyakumari,interesting isn’t it,being just a small tourist and pilgrimage site in the southernmost tip of India..I was really amazed to know this and was really excited as I had never been to a Wax Museum.

Though this Museum is not as big as Madame Tussauds Museum in London but good enough for a first time visitor like me…

And some of the Personalities wax statue I saw there..The administration is trying best to get many more Wax Statues of different Personalities and I wish them all luck,Maybe next time when I am there I can see more of them.

Striking Waves..

During my visit to Kanyakumari–The one shot that was on my mind was to shot the sea waves pretty close to me and I was lucky enough to get hold of one.. 🙂

But to take this shot I had to wait for around half an hour as the waves I guess was in mood to make me wait..But I am thankful and after seeing the shots I guess the wait was worth enough.. 🙂
