Duty of A Responsible Citizen-Some Points

India is a big Country with diversity in Religions,Cultures and Traditions and I believe this makes India stand out  and We Indians can really be proud of this.
But as India is developing it is taken off by many issues from Corruption to Pollution to many more. And on a day to day basis we find many new issues cropping up…But a as Responsible of Citizen of India did we ever tried to do our bit except for shouting at the Government….In most of the case even for a simpler matter we will blame the Government rather than trying to solve the issue and I guess that make the matter more worse…

Nevertheless remember we citizens are the one who are solely responsible for the development of this country and in this post I will share some simple points which I believe is not so difficult to follow in our day to day life..Remember “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
We all are aware of our Fundamental Duties,if not then here it is and Even if we follow these fundamental duties we will surely be doing our bit in making India a Great Country..

So lets look at the points that make us a Good and Responsible Citizen…

  1. Obey Laws and Respect Authority-Don’t break laws and also refrain others for doing so.If not satisfied by any Law use Constitutional means to change the Law.
  2. Civic and Social Duty should be performed-Be aware about the issues affecting the society and provide solutions to them,Vote intelligently and Pay Taxes by proper means and use acts like RTI,RTE for the good of the society.
  3. Keep your surroundings and locality clean,Use Dustbin,Care for Public Property and Other People’s Property.
  4. Be Honest to your Country and Fellow Citizen
  5. Develop a deep sense of Patriotism towards you Country,Respect your Country’s Social and Economic Policies,Always contribute to the Welfare of our Country.
  6. Must be able to teach the Younger Generation to show Respect and Love  towards the Country.
  7. Make your Country Proud when visiting other Nations,Never speak bad about your Country.
  8. Help the Poor and Needy and Provide great Hospitality to both Foreign and Local Tourist.

This is it..and I guess its just simple 8 steps to make our Country a Great One and This not only applies to Indian Citizens but also to Citizens of Other Nations.. 🙂

Aftermath of Indiblogger

Today around 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm Indiblogger site was down, maybe it was down before that also but I checked around 12:30 pm and I was very shocked and irritated as I was not able to check mine and other fellow blogger post and moreover how many votes I got on my post.I think this is not the condition only with me,even other bloggers are also very desperate with that site you know why… :-P.

Just as I was little irritated with the site being down,my friend Jack and I had a little chat on this and it was on his idea I came up with the cartoon on Indiblogger Aftermath, actually he asked me to write a post on it but I thought to make it a cartoon as I was not sure what to write,So I thought the Cartoon will speak better… 🙂

Crimes On Women-Time to Stop It

This post is an Animated Description of my Previous Post which I wrote for IndiChange.Again it’s Go!Animate that has helped me to create this awareness animation and I am really happy that I am able to produce this short animation that shows how it has become important to stop Crimes On Women.

The Scene starts with an office talk between me and my colleague.I am sad about a news I saw in the Newspaper that day and was really disturbed and then my colleague comes in and we had a very healthy chat on the issues on Crimes on Women.

To Know about the chat please watch the video. And if you have time and want to read my earlier post on the same topic here it is Put A Halt on Women Voilence.

Please leave your views and spread the message.

Thanks 🙂

Put A Halt on Women Voilence

WHO - Violence against woman“The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it.”-Roseanne Barr,a well known American Actress,Writer television producer, director and 2012 presidential nominee of the California-based Peace and Freedom Party.

And it is very truly said,Being a responsible citizen I really want Indian Women and the Women around the world to stand up and fight for injustice, crime, atrocities happening with them because no one would ever know the pain of a Woman until you are a Woman. So,stand up for yourself and make this world follow the suite, show them the true potential you hold to change the world and make it a better place to live in and once you stand up for yourself you will find millions standing with you, supporting you and joining hands with you to fight the evil out of this world.

Some statistics

Women Crime 2011(NCRB Data)

Women Crime 2011(NCRB Data)

Here is the NCRB-Crime Against Women data.

The amount of Crime against Women in India is on the rise with each passing day.Crimes like Rapes,Female Foeticide,Dowry,Child Marriages,Honor Killing,Domestic Violence all has piled up in recent times and now the time has come to put a halt on it.People who commit such crimes feel that the women are weak and thus can easily be suppressed.

But the main concern still remains that is ‘How can we put a halt to such crimes?’.To me until and unless we change our perception towards Women and Girls such thing will always be there and the best means to change one’s perception is education, illiteracy is main root to all evil, once we are educated well enough our concise will always make us a better one for the society.Apart from that promoting specific morals or values may be controversial,as such efforts are often associated with repressive and narrowly defined visions of the common good. Moral capabilities are essential, but the means to develop them must be consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, aimed at fostering the spiritual, social and intellectual development of all people.

Such capabilities can be taught in schools but will not be effective unless they take root in family and community.Neighbours, educators, health workers, employers, politicians, religious leaders, police, media professionals–all share responsibility for the protection of women.Promoting the eradication of elements in traditional norms and religious beliefs, practices and stereotypes which legitimise and exacerbate the persistence and tolerance of violence against women and children.Introducing and supporting gender sensitisation and public awareness programmes aimed at eradicating violence against women and children.Encouraging the media to play a constructive role in the eradication of violence against women and children by adopting guidelines which ensure sensitive coverage of the issue and avoid the perpetuation of stereotypes.

To make this all happen and to stop the crime against women we must rise up and stand together and pledge to make this world a better place to live in for Women.

This Post is written for Indichnage Campaing-Write the Change Ring The Bell for my support in the power collective actions of responsible citizen of the society to bring a change,a change  that we all want.

Ending on a Positive Note I promise to ring the bell by:-by educating the society and spreading awareness among my fellow citizens about the atrocities on Women and how to fight and overcome them.

3 mistakes of my Life-In a lighter vein

Make Mistake n LearnI hope the title of my post seems familiar,Yeah you guys have guessed it right it is the title of a Book by Chetan Bhagat-“The 3 Mistakes of My Life”.But this post neither relate to his book nor I am providing any excerpt of the book instead it is about 3 mistakes in my life.

Somewhere in the net I found the below lines trolling and they are

3 Mistake of My Life
I am Male.
I belong to General Category.
I am an Engineer.

I think most of us has seen these line somewhere around the net and laugh on it and to be precise even I did but after all the laugh was gone,I did gave it a deeper thought and realized that these are the 3 mistake of my life that I can take in lighter vein and still consider them as mistake 😉

Though the mistake of being male was planned long ago by God I really had no control over that but the second mistake of being in General Category is what really troubles my heart now-a-days and I am sure it does troubles most of the Youth like me,this caste system literally has ruined India and in my view has been a major set back in India’s development,I am not against casteism but when caste system is applied in education and employment sector it does hurt country’s economy a lot and I am sure those who thinks logically and practically will agree with me.When it comes to education and employment most of the developed countries has a generalized system but in India that is not the case.

And now the third and the last mistake is being an Engineer though I feel proud of being an Engineer but actually it was like going with the crowd as when I completed my 10+2 it was like we knew only about two profession i.e Engineer or Doctor if you are from Science background and I think it is a mistake because you are just not able to distinguish yourself from the crowd I mean I stay in Bangalore and here every second person I met is an Engineer with some working in good companies and some in average companies,as the saying goes in Bangalore ‘If we throw a biscuit in air either a Dog or an Engineer will pick it up 😛 ‘.No hard feelings and as I said all things are to be taken in a lighter vein :-).

Though we all make mistake and I believe by making mistake we learn things,I have no regret for what I did all these years and about life I can only say ‘It Goes On’

Please comment on what you think and also write down your 3 things that you consider as mistakes of your life
