Kizaranga National Park-Passing through the NH-37

What is the first think that comes to your mind thinking about Kaziranga National Park in Assam?

For me it is-One Horned Rhinoceros,Yes Kaziranga is famous for One Horned Rhinoceros.

But Kaziranga is much more than that and one witnesses its beauty while passing through NH-37,the Highway that connects Upper Assam passes right through Kaziranga and most of the time you will find Herd of Elephants like these

Kaziranga starts after crossing Jakhalabandha(A Small Town in Assam) which is around 50 kms frm Nagaon,I often travels through this route just to look at animals at their Natural Best and most of the time I am not disappointed.

The Above picture shows a Herd of Deer(if you can spot them) relaxing, sorry of the bad quality of the image.

Kaziranga remains open for 6 months i.e. from November to April, but from this years onwards if everything goes well, kaziranga will remain open from 8 months i.e. from October to May.

And sometimes you will find few water birds looking for their meal.

Most of the time I hop on to my Bike and take this pleasant, scenic road..It helps me to calm down, feel the nature pretty close to me.

One Horned Rhino-Its Sorry State

As we all know One Horned Rhino is found only in Assam,India. It is kind of Pride not only to Assam but to whole of India, but as you all know the kind of sorry state they are going through…on the verge of extinction because of only few who just in the name of few bucks don’t care to kill them.

Just 10-12 days has passed in 2015 and 3 rhinos has been killed, what a shameful act.And we as citizen of Assam and India just don’t care enough..

Don’t talk about our leaders,The Assam Government just don’t care and never will…Even the Central Govt. have put a blind eye towards it.

No one seems to care and in no time they will be History… 😦

If by any chance our Prime Minister happens to go through this,I would just like to request him to take necessary and stern steps to Save Our Pride-The One Horned Rhino.

Man vs Wild

With all the recent cruelty on Wildlife I guess our future generation will never know that there exist a term “Wildlife” and this makes me very sad.

“The quicker we humans learn that saving open space and wildlife is critical to our welfare and quality of life, maybe we’ll start thinking of doing something about it.”-Jim Fowler

The above quote really depicts the message very well as what we Humans are upto and what we should do,I am happy that there are technological advancement around us but at the same time all these advancements are made at the cost of Nature which does not go well with me,what I believe is that there should be sustainable ways in which we carry on our development without overlooking the Wildlife or the Natural resources.

Likewise the crime on the society is on the rise sameway the cruelty on Wildlife and Natural Resource is also on the rise but we fail to notice that as we are only focused on our development and how can we make our life better. But,let me remind you Nature and Human Development goes hand in hand and without nature being gracious enough to us we are just helpless.

To illustrate how Wild animals feel,I have made this Cartoon to convey the message on their behalf as they can’t speak out their pain at all.Hope all like it and gets the message clearly.. 🙂

It also remind me “The Law of the Wild Says-Kill only when you are Hungry” and I am very much sure that the day is sure to come when these Wild will be Hungry for the Land, for their Nature and we Human will pay the price…
